Overcomer

 Dear Beautiful Little Girl,

I have tried to figure out ways to share with you life lessons that I hope you would remember for a lifetime.  But the truth is your mind goes so fast you are years ahead of the world in your memory and understanding of things basic.  This is a moment for mommy to write to you for one day you will need a place to find beautiful messages just for you. 

You are 6 years old, today is 2/28/2023.

You just got off the bus upset with big tears in your eyes. 

Your words were sharp and made mommy feel incredible sad.

"Why do we have to leave our people mommy"

Recently we found out we are going to be moving after have almost 2 full amazing years in Pawleys Island.  But our landlord is selling the house we rent.  Mommy found this information out by email while we were supposed to be enjoying Disney.  It was heartbreaking news.  I knew your stability was over sooner than I had wished for.  This pace you call home and you love is going to be taken from you.  

It makes mommy frustrated and disappointed because this wasn't your fault.  

This wasn't really even my fault.

The fault you can choose that for yourself.  

But unfortunately, we didn't have a home until mommy found this one.  

We were kicked out of the one place you or Drew had ever known.  For that I am sorry because I am 1/2 the reason for it.  If we still had that home you would still be going to the same school, having the same people (kind-of) and riding the same bus.  But life changes and things we hope and wish for don't come true.

What I want you to learn as you read this... is this.. You are who you are because of your ability to change with the circumstances in your life.  God didn't make our life easy! He has made it meaningful.  As we move to a new chapter of life he will give you new people! Those new people will help you grow during this new season for all of us.  But remember... without change there is no movement in your future.  One must be an overcomer of change to keep growing in life!

You my beautiful little girl have that drive to overcome! 

Whatever you are facing remember to face it with faith.... not fear... with hope not nerves.. 

You are always moving in the direction destine for you!
